American by Birth

We interrupt our visit to Harry Potter sites for a brief side trip to another site. Today is the day that we Americans have set aside to remember the men and women of our armed forces. This date was chosen because the war to end all wars (World War I) ended on this day, at the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918.

Today's FamSite is one that honors not only the men and women in uniform who defend our country, but also those who help to defend us against the presence of terrorism in our country. At this site you get a reminder of the sacrifices that all our uniformed service personal have made, and are continuing to make. There are links to all the armed forces, as well as to the various relief organizations and campaigns that are raising money for the survivors of the September 11th tragedy.

This is a truly American site, one that makes one proud to be an American, no matter where they are when they read it. Enjoy your visit here today, and be sure to share it with a friend.
