American Chopper: The Series

Reality television has been around long enough that you would think we have seen just about everything. I mean, they are up to Survivor 6, and if I hear another ad for Big Brother, I am going to loose it. But I have found a program, and the corresponding website, that is really cool to watch, and fun to visit.

The program is called American Choppers: The Series, and is the on-going story of Orange County Choppers, and the owners and employees who make it happen. OCC is a customized cycle shop located in Rock Tavern, New York, and they opened their business and lives to the Discovery Cable TV Channel to show how they fabricate motorcycles. It is interesting to see just how much details go into the making of one of their unique creations, as each one is hand made. There is also ongoing story lines about the theme bikes they build, some of which you have to see to belive.

Now I am not a gearhead, in fact I am one of the most unmechanical people I know of. But this program has me hooked, and once you watch it, you will see what I mean. Some visit the site, and then watch the program. It will be great fun.

    Me and my 9 year old son watch American Chopper when it is on. My son is very fasinated with motorcycles and watching Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. gives us a laugh every once in awhile. It is a very enjoyable show to watch.

    My husband and I were able to meet Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. at a bike rally in Tunica, MS. We got pics of them and purchased an OCC tshirt and got their autographs. We are hooked on the show and watch it every time it is on. I love Mikey's new blue bike!

    This is fun to watch. However, that Paul Sr. is the epitome of an abusive father, or is that just a put-on for the show. If it's for real I'd suggest Paul Jr. go it alone. He seems to do most of the work while his father yells at him and harasses him and just plays tennis! Bless you, Paul, Jr. Dad, why don't you grow up?

    Truly one of the greatest shows ever put on T.V. but the only thing that upsets me is that I have to wait until the next season starts. I just can't get enough of American Chopper!!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm addicted to America Chopper, OCC has built some awesome bikes. Since i'm only 15 in the next year or two I want OCC to build me a custom chopper. I have a great idea for my bike. By the way cody and paul jr are so freakin' hot OMG!!! i think i have to thank my dad and the guys from OCC for my love for choppers and all the other kind of motorcycles

    I watched the show for the first time yesterday here in Canada. The Black Widow bike is going to be great (stay tuned) but the father-son relationship between Paul Sr. and Paul Jr. is even more interesting. Talk about the old bear being outdone by the young cub! But maybe Paul Sr. has a few more tricks to teach his son? :-) Anyway it's a great show, and I'm looking forward to the next episode.

    Great hollywood show. Spiderman bikes, Jet bikes,
    Chopper bikes, My wife and I have ridden for 15 years. This is one of the few shows we can watch together. She likes Basket Ball, I like Jeeps. We both Love Asshole attitudes and Bikes.This show has the best of both. It's Offense/Defense with Paul and Paul and Mikey as Curley from the Globe trotters (The Hollywood comment). Even our 3 dogs calm down long enough to watch the show.

    I have watched this show since it first aired. I think this show is one of the best, I HATE reality shows, but this one, its good. I think I also like that fact that they have a 16 year old (Cody)& they treat him with respect and he treats thim with respect. They also have Mickey working there, he isn't the smartet when it comes to bikes, but think about it, would it be OCC without Mickey there to Joke with the other employees? Thats what I thought...LOL.....Keep up the good work OCC guys and hopefully there will be another "Big" project for Cody in the near future..

Met Paulie Jrs gf..we all went to the Ulster County Fair with Vinnie and Discovery Channel was there taping him so hopefully that will air in the new season! The guys there are awesome and so is the show! Love the bikes! The Cody Bike and one of their bikes not themed are now 25 min from where I live in TN.. Small world! have fun and enjoy the show!

    Our house is Orange County fans. I found the Gatorz OC Sunglasses. I got them for my son for Christmas. WOW what a fight I have had between my son and Husband. If he sets them down my husband is off and running with them. I guess I have to order another pair. Keep up the Great Bikes.

    I started channel surfing one night out of boredom and happened on your program, since then I've become a fan and watch all of them. I found your xmas bike program heartfelt, filled with humour and the end result Paul Sr. and Mikey riding the great bike with gifts galore to give to the kids at the firehall is what xmas is all about.     I kind of stumbled onto the show one night, and I became fascinated by the idea of building these "awesome" bikes. I think Paul, Sr. is a funny guy, and Paul, Jr. is the counterbalance. The show is so simple it is brilliant.

    I just started watching the show. I got into it from my mom and brother. When I first saw it I thought it was stupid but after I actually watched it I thought it was an awsome show.I am truly amazed at how well they can make the bikes. I found the best bike and show was the Christmas episode for many reasons! And Paul Jr. is extremely my favorite person ever!!

    The first few minutes that I arrived on Discovery Channel and it was when I was introduced to American Chopper. This is the best show in many years! The shows nowadays are mighty stupid and awful (such as Jerry Springer, blind-date shows, senseless and non-educational shows), but this show is "real-life" educational series. I'm deaf, but I love watching the show and when profanities are censored, I read their lips and laugh every time, especially when Paul Sr. hurl out! My wife and I love the show and we can't wait for January 12th!!! Make more series!!!!!!

    Hey, folks, pay no attention to what the "Envious Jack A." has to say about Orange County Chopper! I know plenty of folks who shared their interests and their love for American Chopper. If the Envious Jack A. doesn't like the show, why would he bother to watch it? Go cry elsewhere. This is my only favorite show and I'll make sure to keep my eyes open for the new episodes!!! Long live the Teutels and the Orange County Chopper!!

    I get a laugh at the stupidity and phony acting of the OCC crew. Not much is really fabricated there. The frames, tanks and fenders are not made there. The motors, front ends and wheels all come from somewhere else. The seats and the paint work is all done by other people. Yes, they connect the dots to assemble these bikes. A little weld here and some heat from a torch along with sparks from a grinder and presto! you too can be a "Motorcycle Fabricator" A true motorcycle builder would be offended. Let's get real with reality tv.

    i am 16 and i have been riding for 3 years now and after seeing the show and how easy it seems to build a bike from raw metal(which is not),just by watching the boys in the OCC have inspired me to make it a career for me.oh yeah paulie is extremely hot.     I need someones help.... we are planning on going
    to see OCC at Myrtle Beach in May..... we are
    unable to find out where at in Myrtle beach
    they will be set up and if they(paul sr. or paul
    jr.) will be at the show...I've heard through
    the grape vine that they don't attend all the
    show... If anyone could help it would be awesome
    ..... I'm going to be traveling along ways and
    will only have about a day and a half to find

    Id like to say that I love the show..They all seem like a great bunch of guy's..Mike is so funny,I just hope that it is all an act between Paul sr.and Paul jr....I think it would be so cool to be able to do the kind of work that they do..I think Vinnie should get more credit than he get's..He is as talented a person anyone ealse on the show....maybe he isnt as creative as Paul jr..but he contrubites a great deal to the bikes....you guys are so cool...keep up the great work...Paul sr I cant wait to see the finished MIA bike...you done good....

    American Chopper is likely the only "Real" Reality show going. Neither Sr. nor Jr., or Mikey, pull thier punches with each other, and seeing Sr. go from hard-nose boss to ole-softy grandfather is amazing. As a b-day present, my girlfriend bought me the DVD's from the Fireman bike and Blackwidow bike builds, along with OCC and American Chopper shirts, just to hold me over from monday to monday. My 3 year old son even gets into the show, "ooo"-ing and "Ahhhh"-ing at the finished bikes, specifically the Spiderman theme bike Sr. rides often. I'm hoping, since I'm close, that they'll be at Panama City Bike Week this spring break, so I can get a chance to meet them in person.

    HEY I JUST WANTED EVERYONE AT OCC TO KNOW HOW GREAT OF A JOB THEY DO. I LOVE THE POW-MIA BIKE, BUT I THINK THAT MY FAVORITE 1 IS WHERE PAUL SR. GIVES THE BIKE TO CODY.     Hey! Well, I am addicted to American Choppers as well. When I'm at work, I sneak in to my patients rooms to catch the show. I wanted to go see OCC when they were at Tunica, MS but I was working that weekend at a biker rally about an hour away. I decided not to sneak off because I was working for the "Dreamriders". (It's an organization that raises money for children... GREAT bunch of guys and gals!) Hopefully one day I'll get to meet OCC.

    I want to meet Paulie! Who cares if he has a girlfriend? I can still look. He seems like a nice guy... and very talented with his craft! Gotta love Paul Sr. too... just glad he's not my dad, although I bet he's a blast to be around- most of the time. I love Mikey too... I think he's getting the short end of the deal- he just needs a little bit of attention instead of being made fun of!

    My family LOVES American Chopper. We all sit down together and watch it on Monday nights. My dad and my 11 and 3 yr. old brothers watch the show to see the bikes.     You know, I love this show. I even find myself tearing up at times, like at the unvieling of the FireBike and the POW bike. My Dad is a VET and we did't get along very well when I was younger, so when these guys go at it, it kind of feels like home.
    Some folks in this message board say that Sr. is too hard on Jr., and I guess that's typical of all parents, but at the same time, Sr. is trying to teach Jr. responsibility, cause he knows one day, Jr's gonna have the whole business to look after. He'll need ever trick his pop can give him then.

    This show is fantastic. I 18 and reside in Canada, and before this show never had an interest in choppers. Although I never plan to get a chopper or pursue any mechanical profession, I love the show. The bikes they create are unique and spectacular, but the process of creating them is the entertaining part. Paul Sr. is crazy, and Paul Jr. can appear completely opposite of his father in one scene and then just like him in the next.

    This show rocks, please keep it on for years to come.

    One can identify more curse words in its one hour than in an entire four hour span of the "Howard Stern" show. This, coupled with the fact the father on this show ridicules and threatens violence on his own sons, I think that this hardly the type of program that whole families should be given the green light to watch.

    I have yet to have any member of my family ever call me "Numb nuts" or threaten to shove their "Size twelves" in any part of my anatomy. Now please understand this point, I happen to really enjoy both the "Howard Stern Show" and "American Chopper", but I am a 26 year old male living on my own.

    I just saw the beginning of dixie chopper. that is so cool they are building a bike from a lawnmower engine. reminds me of my old minnie bike I had as a kid... but on a much larger scale! I also liked that water cutter they are using, it is truely an awsome tool. where did this thing come from? I would like to see that thing work more. it sure gives me some ideas on hobbies of mine. The quality of the show is only surpassed by the quality of the magnificent bikes you produce. Paul Jr. is a genius, but even he must admit that his genius needs the spark created by Paul Sr.'s size 12's.
    And where would we be without Mikey? It is Mikey's humor that very often brings sanity to an insane cycle shop.
    Finally, let me say that in my 65 years I have never wanted to own a motorcycle. Until now, that is. What I wouldn't give to own one of your magnificent machines, that are nothing less than pieces of art.

    I love the show! I watch it every time it comes on! Regardless if its a repeat or not I just have to watch it. I luv Cody! Ur a Cutie! ;) I've always wanted to go to New York and visit their shop. It would bea trp of a lifetime. I've always wanted to meet the entire crew and everything and to tell them how awesome their bikes turn out! Some people may think Paul sr. isa pain to Paulie but hey.......you know.....Paulie is prolly a pain to Paul Sr.! LOL! There is no telling but Paul Sr. has a heart in there guys. If you look at all the theme bikes....you might understand. He did the Christmas bike for the kids, and he did the POW MIA bike for all the Vietnam Veterans. Then he takes in Cody and lets him help build these bikes that they do. Paul Sr. coldhearted......I think not. Anyways......lol.......the show is awesome!     American Chopper is one of my favorite shows. However, at a website that is supposed to be family freindly I don't see how you can recommend a site that is built upon the television show. Both the Discovery Channel's site and the OOC site are great.

    I just don't know if I could recommend the show itself as being family friendly because of the horrible relationship demonstrated between Paul, Sr. and his sons. The constant bleeping of the language also is troubling.

    Hey I went to a party with Cathy and Laura. It was sick.We meet this little kid named Aden, he's 8 years old and he meet the OCC guys. He has a sweatshirt signed by Cody and he has a hat signed by Sr, Paulie, and Cody. It's sick. We were shocked that he new so much about them. We had a great time hanging with him. OCC has different hours now thursdays at 10 and sundays at 6. But mondays still the same

    hey guys!!! Happy Thanksgiving everyone and happy birthday kelly. Hope ya had a good one. Band is killing me! I'm so sore my legs feel like they're going to fall off. I couldn't even walk a few days ago after practice. They made us get up a like 9 in the morning and they didn't let us stop marching till like 10 at night. Wesley had to carry me to the car. Pretty bad huh then we have practive saturday from 9 to 12 then tuesday 6 to 10 then again thursday from 7 to 10 and we have to go to ohio for a performance. Well today has been good because I've been watching occ all day. :) and i've been talking to wesley. :) he said he loved me today for the 1st time and he explained his feelings to me today too. He said he's in love with me. :) awwwww!!!!!!! sry this is to long. I haven't written in awhile. Love you guys.

    yeah me cathy and laura boogie boarding when we go to the beach it's a lot of fun. you should check out the show on mtv. it's pretty good.

    i just got done watching american chopper the mikey/vinnie bike. every time i watch it it drives me crazy that they couldn't get it to start. i feel so bad for vinnie. i hate how keith sent mikey home. he said every minute counts but if it counts he shouldn't have sent him home. well thats my opinion.

You know what's perfect? Frank didn't do his project for one of his classes so now he's grounded. I hope you guys don't think I'm making him up. He's a real person!     Hey Kelly work was so much fun.
    Well Joe me, Kelly, and Laura work at a shop. The owner is Jeff, he is are father's friend. We work there now on weekdays and saturdays. His three sons work with us too.     Hey everyone! How is it going? We all had a horrible afternoon. We went to Jeff Jr.'s house to watch him on his dirt bike, he wanted to take it out for one more time before the snow comes tomorrow. Well when he went to land after he went off a jump, he lost controll of it and hit into a fence. Well we took him to the emergency room where we sat there for 2 hours and they sent us to some other guy. It ended up that he broke the growth plate in his foot. Hi Ashley and Angelica. Hi Joe and Frank. Nate that sucks that you are moving. My favorite wakeboarder lives in Longwood, Florida. Hope you make friends fast. When are you moving? Can't wait until OCC.

    Hey everyone!!!!! I'm home sick today.
    The bike OCC built for David Mann was awesome. But Sr. was really mad with the first paint job on the tank. I guess Lutisha was going to paint the tank but Justin took the liberty to paint it for her. But I hope they still use Justin to paint the other bikes they build. The painting the women did of David Mann riding the bike was soooooooooo SICK!!!!!!!!!

    I just watched the Dave Mann tribute episode, I think this was about the best show they've done. I'm an old school biker, and I think that bike was 1 of the best they ever built.     well i had the best day of my life today. cathy, laura, and i went to the show room. it was so sick. i couldn't belive i was standing in front of (my opinion)the best bikes in the world. we got so many pictures. cathy was freaking out because the lance armstrong bike was there and to make it better her favorite snowboarder shaun white won the the gold medal at the x-games.me and laura were happy he won to.well were all hopeing to go back soon.

    hey guys!! whats been up with everyone.. i have so much drama in my life..i need knew friends too..lol..lets see whats been up with me lately?? um..um..lol..thinking alot about being a bike builder like occ and starting my own business..can't wait to do that...i could take welding in 10th grade but i have to choose between rotc and that..that sux really bad..band is still killing me with my grades and a few weeks ago we had a competition and got 1st!! yay that was awesome and then this saturday we have to travel to florida and compete again..oh yeah can't wait for that..4 of the drummers like me..lol..not bad huh...i think im ugly but i guess not..well i g2g love ya'll..my friends gave me a nickname last night at practice..lol..its NIKE..i love it.. :) :) *big smiles*

    23 from chicago illinois here....my name is valerie and i just have to say that i have had to deal with some really tough things in life as most do, and all the guys with american choppers have inspired me in so many ways...things dont get easier they only get harder..you just have to learn to roll with the punches...after all it is what it is....thats one of my favorite sayings!!     hey guys..man i haven't been on in a while..hey kelly whats up..yeah the fender did suck..but it was sad he had that face.. but they are the boss and he has to listen to them..That Gillete sp* bike was really awesome..Thats prob my new favorite bike but no bike can take the black widows place...now that bike is the best out of all of them...but I haven't seen cody on the past few episodes..he didn't quit did he? I hope not...

    Hey. I'd just like to say good job to the OCC crew! You guys build amzing bikes! Unfortunately, I live in Canada so I don't have the chance to go to a the shows you are at. I've only ever seen one of the bikes in real life and that was in Kempville, Ontario. It was the Fire Bike and was at the 150th anniversary of the Kemptville firefighters. It was a awesome bike! Espsecially in person! I wish Paulie, Paul Sr., or Cody would have been there though! Oh well! I'm currently 15 but once I turn 16 and get my full license, I am planning to go on a road trip with my friends up to New York. We wanna check out the OCC store and maybe get a glimpse pf the shop....or even better; one of the crew! Anyways, I gotta go. Keep on building your awesome bikes!

    Hi just wanted to say dat OCC is like mega amazing! i think its a gr8 show n all da bikes that are produced are rly amazing. its rly funny to watch Paul Sr get in a stress (he's lovely rly lol) and then see them all goin somewhere n havin a laff its like, i dunno just rly funny. all the bikes r gr8 but my fav is the Spider bike cuse its just amazing and the detail on it is rly unique and sick (in a gd way).
    By the way Mickey is hilarious and Cody is RLY RLY FINE! we should sooo see more of him lol.

    i am such a major fan of de show i could watch it 24-7 mike and vinny are such a great duo the are sick. i've told all my friends about it and the all go cody is so fit and now they watch it my mate holly says he is "wow".i think he's cute to. i think ya'll rock and i never miss an episode my fav bikes are cody's old school, vinnie and mickey bike and mickey's bike. when is there gonna be a new series but hey dont matta how long you take i love whatching the old ones again and again
