American Counsel on Education

ACE_logo.jpgToday’s FamilyFirst site is the American Council on Education. ACE aims to foster greater collaboration and new partnerships within and outside the higher education community to help colleges and universities anticipate and address the challenges of the 21st century and contribute to a stronger nation and a better world.

Located here is the official site of the GED Testing Service with information for prospective test-takers and education professionals.

The GED (General Educational Development) is the equivalent test to a high school diploma. In the case of home-schooled children, this is what they seek to prove completion of their education. My son just completed his home schooling and achieved his GED, and he’s the one who recommended this site.

If you visit the GED section, you will get the goods on what it will take for you to take this comprehensive test. There are sample questions. And let me tell you, this test is TOUGH! I’m going to have to go congratulate my son again (So THAT’s why he recommended it)!

The ACE is primarily an organization of educational facilities.

What schools are eligible to join up? ACE institutional membership is open to all U.S. degree-granting colleges and universities that are accredited by a CHEA (Counsel for Higher Education Association)-recognized accrediting agency. Affiliate membership is available to U.S. degree-granting institutions that have been officially awarded "candidacy" status by a CHEA-recognized accrediting agency. System offices, as well as national and regional higher education associations, are also eligible for membership.

So have an educationally uplifting experience at today’s FamilyFirst site!
