American Mutoscope and Biograph Company

The summer blockbuster movie season is here, and there are some good ones to go see. The new "Fantastic Four" movie has great special effects, and the remake of "The Bad News Bears" is hilarious. But today's Family First Site looks at one movie company that won't be releasing any major blockbusters, but has a long and storied history that goes back over 100 years.

The site is called the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company. Tracing its roots back to New Jersey, and Thomas Edison, D.W. Griffith, Mary Pickford, and Mack Sennett. This company finally settled for good in a small California town called Hollywood. The rest is history. It is now entering this century as an independent film company with new films and home video releases. You find out about those releases on this site, as well as links to the major trade publications, histories of some of the major stars, writers, and producers. One unique feature is the ability to view some of the classic silent movies from the studio on your monitory via the latest Internet technology.

    I want everyone to know about the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company, and the wonderful review of that website, and we thank you for it. However, we need your help, and the help of your website viewers. Recently, an article on an internet encyclopedia called "Wikipedia" has been targeted by a certain group of their members by editing incorrect and inflamatory material. These individuals we feel have tried everything to discredit the Biograph name, and validity. We did some investigation and found out that the founder of Wikipedia, a Jim Bowles also used to be involved with internet pornography.

    Unfortunately, this website (Wikipedia) is spidered by many other legitimate reference websites. This is why this character assasination must be stopped. We urge your internet viewers to go to thw website and temprarily become members to help combat this. As members they can re-edit the artcile and protest.

    We thank you so much for your help. Don't let them destroy something because it has a decent and good reputation.
