America's Parks Online

Yesterday, the Family First Site looked at site that highlighted our National Parks as possible vacation sites. Since it's time for fun in the sun, today we look at a site that focuses on state parks. These are more focused on sites that in your local area (where ever that may be) and don't require a major road trip to reach.

The site is called America's Parks Online, and is an online collection of sites for parks from all 50 states, from Alabama to Wyoming. Each state has link that takes one to a page about that state. Some are the official state page, others are the pages created by the webmaster. All contain information about parks in that state, as well as information about state agencies and bureaus that can help with planning vacations there. The site also has links to Canadian provinces as well as other travel related links.

This site is a great help for planning shorter vactions that the Park Net site we visited yesterday. It is a great one to bookmark, and share with others who may want to get away for awhile. After all, you don't have to visit these in just the summer.
