When I was a kid in the 60's, there was a cartoon on that had an unforgettable theme song sung by a choir of kids. It was called AstroBoy.

It turns out it was a Japanese production, and was actually one of the first forms of the animated art known as anime.

I don't remember any of that. I just recall that his legs were rockets, and that amazing theme song.

But, from today's FamilyFirst site, AstroBoy Online, I learned that the series I watched in the 60's was black and white (I didn't remember that), and that the series was renewed in the 80's, in color this time.

I was also surprised to find out that AstroBoy has quite the following among fans of old toons as well as those who love anime.
