At one time, we were all babies. Yes, we were once sweet and adorable little ones that were doted over by parents and grandparents and sibling of all kinds. But our parents didn't learn to be those loving habits that allowed us to grow up into what we became. They had help, usually in the form of books or magazines. Today's parents (and prospective parents) have the same resources, only in a different form, thanks to the Internet. Today's Family First Site is just such an example.
The site is called BabyCenter. It is a site full of good ideas on how to take care of babies, from preconception until they enter that toddler stage. Here you can find out the latest in prenatal care, what strollers are safe for you baby, find out how ear infections happen and what to do about them. There is something for everyone here, including a special place for dad called (what else) the DadZone. The amount of material here is quite extensive, with an excellent site search engine.
So if you or someone you know is expecting a young one, this is a great site for them to visit. You never know how just such a site can change their lives, or the lives of their young ones.

The H1N1 Flu (swine flu) vaccine was offered to my wife at the OBGYN office last week as she is 6 months pregnant and it was recommended. Interesting that there are no vaccines to hand out though the doctor felt obligated to still offer. She recieved the normal flu vaccine and off we went.
The doctor also claimed that all the rumors about mercury being the base of the swine flu vaccine and other flu vaccines was completely unfounded. She claimed that the link between mercury and autism was developed by a doctor who at the time was also developing and trying to market a drug that would curb autism. Her argument was that the doctor was trying to create a problem and sell the solution.
We will wait around and see what happens. We may not have a choice, there are no vaccines to be found!
