babyworld

Do you have a friend who is expecting a baby? Or someone who is adopting a child? If so, then, tell them about today's FamSite. It is one that can be helpful to expectant parents.

Called babyworld, it is a collection of helpful information. There is information on money matters, such as childcare, making a will, and maternity birthrights and benefits. An area for traveling with young ones is a great section, as is the one on caring for your baby, with information on diet and nutrition. Everyday common sense suggestions, but if you are new to parenting, then it may be something you have never thought of.

Enjoy the site, and pass it on to a friend. Of course, if you are expecting the arrival of a new family member, feel free to use it yourself as well.

I got an annoying phone call from the Dove Foundation. Foolishly, I imagined that they had something to do with Dove brand soap. The caller asked my opinion about whether Hollywood's should be more child-friendly, I told her that I don't have kids. She said it didn't matter, I must still have an opinion. When she didn't seem to like my reply, she tried to persuade me to agree with her agenda.

This is not how "surveys" are conducted. If they call me again, I'll complain to the Federal Government. I am on the Do Not Call list, and I don't think the Dove Foundation should qualify as a non-profit, to bypass Do Not Call legislation.
