BBC History - Vikings

My name is a venerable Norwegian one. That means that I likely have Viking blood coursing through my veins.

The only pillaging I do these days is sneaking a cup of coffee from the adjoining department's urn when my own pot is still brewing. But such a conquest might possibly elicit a loud cry of triumph at my sacking skills. However, more likely, it won't.

Today's FamilyFirst pick pays homage to the Vikings. it's a BBC presentation, the first I've ever used.

It's called BBC History - Vikings. There's something here for everyone.

There's a game called Viking Quest. Can you build a ship, cross the seas, loot a monastery and return home to claim your prize?

There is also a horde of pure history for the fans of such. For instance, intact Viking ships have been excavated, along with forts, settlements, and great lots of smaller artifacts.

The Vikings truly were a fearsome, warring lot to be feared.

Let anyone blocking me from the coffee machine be warned.
