Better-Family.com

better-family.gifToday's FamilyFirst site is a blog that has only been online since October, but which already has a lot of quality content, and appears to be updated daily.

It's called Better-Family.com, and it's loaded with good info on health, finances, education, and all-around family life.

Have you been thinking about going for an online degree? Check out this good advice: “First, you’ll want to make sure that the college that offers the online degree is accredited. School and universities are accredited on a state or national level. This accreditation means that a board of education has researched and approved the schools curriculum and course work.”

Wow. You'd better start with that accreditation check. Would you have thought of that?

Are you thinking of buying a used car? Go through the checklist before you get a car loan. For instance, don't get a loan until you're sure your budget can handle it. “Making a realistic approximation of your ability to pay off the loan is, and should be, the first step in applying for an line of credit.”

The advice here is not earthshaking, but is based on good old common sense, which is not always that common.

The site reminds me of an older brother or sister who has seen it all, and whose advice is frequently sought before important decisions are made.

Not all decisions are profoundly important. Check out the advice on cleaning your carpet or bathroom. Or, get common-sense advice on whether or not home schooling is for you. You can even research hair transplants.

As I said at the outset,l the site is relatively new. But the webmasters appear to be determined to update content on a nearly daily basis. So keep them bookmarked, and keep tuning in!
