Box-Office Mojo
September 25, 2006
Prices on high-def tv's have been steadily dropping. I've been monitoring their fall, and when I had a chance to score a Philips tube-type for $370, I finally took the plunge.
It's been a blast watching my widescreen DVD's in their full glory. And doing so has put me in a movie frame of mind.
Ergo, today's FamilyFirst pick: Box Office Mojo.
Looking for the latest Hollywood news? You've come to the right place. The latest goods on your favorite actor/actress? Right again. Want to see what flicks are coming up? You'll get it here.
I particularly enjoyed columnist Scott Holleran. His pieces include reviews, and you soon find out if a movie is worth watching or not, IHHO.
He takes a decidedly conservative tone in a business dominated by the most liberal. Check out this quote:
The Academy Awards, like the motion pictures they reward, reflect today's culture: much of it is depraved and most of it is unexceptional. Yet, at their best, the Oscars are a celebration of glamour -- and it's about the only one we've got.
Good stuff.
There are a whole lot of other goodies here to enjoy, forums, facts, and hard-hitting reader commentary.
Enjoy.
