Capture the Moment
May 03, 2001
It has been said a picture is worth a thousand words. But there are pictures that are so memorable that there have been volumes written about them, and some have even become cultural icons representing a time in our nation's history. Today's FamSite looks at a site that has such pictures, and the award they have won.
The site is called Capture the Moment, and is the online site for the Newseum's section on Pulitzer Prize winning photographs. Most of the pictures here will be familiar to visitors, but may not have known they were prizewinners. There is also a biography of the photographer who took the picture. There is also a link to the Newseum, a physical and online site that tells about the news we read and how it is gathered. It is a most interesting story.
So enjoy your visit here today to this most entertaining and educational site. It will make for some quality cyber surfing time.
