Computer Museum

computer_history_museum.gifHi, all! It’s ME, the Bald Guy! I’m back doing the FamilyFirst gig!

Rich Cunningham, the Professor Emeritus of this website, has decided to move on to other things. The VERY BEST wishes to Rich, who’s been associated with WorldVillage and the Mayor for as long as I have.

Anyhoo, it’s back to work for me. Some of you old-timers might remember me doing this (in a different format) back in 1998-2000 (about twelve centuries back in internet years). So let’s begin with a site that is very dear to me: The Computer History Museum.

Let me be frank. I LOVE computers. I used to dream about working in the computer field while wiring houses back in the late 70’s. Well, I finally made it in 2000. And I have a very high regard for the history of the machines that help us with thinking.

This site is the online presence of a real museum, the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, CA. It features a very slick virtual tour that will show you the history of computers all the way back to the 1940’s. Don’t miss the mp3’s of songs played by the IBM 1403 printer (1964). No, I’m not kidding. Have fun!
