Congress for Kids

Today's world is very confusing for all of us. Events that are happening are occurring so rapidly that many of us don't understand what is going on. And if we're confused, think how the young ones around us are feeling. It is that confusion that the FamSite will be trying to help unravel over the next few days. We will be exploring what is going on in both our country and the world, and see if we can make some sense of it.

Today's site is one called Congress for Kids. This is a site that explains how the Congress of the United States works. This is the body of our government that makes our laws, raises (and spends) our money, and, in general, conduts the business of our country. Congress for Kids gives you access to interactive, fun-filled experiences designed to help you learn about the foundation of our federal government and how its actions affect you. Although designed for students in grades fourth through high school, other students, teachers, parents, and interested citizens will find helpful, engaging activities, too.

So when you hear about the leaders of our nation making the tough choices they have to make, this site is one that can help to explain how those choices are made.
