Do It Yourself
May 16, 2005

The faucet drips. The roof leaks when it rains, and when it isn't raining, the wind and sun come through. The front porch railing needs fixing and the screen door squeaks. If any of these ring a bell with you, then today's Family First Site will be one that will provide some needed help for you.
Called DoItYourself.com, this site is a web-based home improvement and repair site. From the smallest problem to the largest renovation, this is the place to go for the answers. There are online forums to exchange information with other users, information on how to estimate a repair, a Q&A section on basic information on do it yourself projects, as well links to literature, services, and media. There is even a newsletter that you can subscribe to.
This is a site that Tim "the Toolman" Taylor, that former Home Improvement guy, would be proud to visit. So strap on your toolbelt, head on over, and see if you agree.

I do not want a contractor I want to do it myself. Where is the help for someone who wants to do it themselves?
Where is the help for us fixer uppers without contractors? Is there some sort of bias towards us?
