Expedia's Mungo Park

Have you ever wondered what really happened to the dinosaurs? Have your children asked you that question yet? If not, they soon will. If they have, you will probably wish that you had visited today's Family Site before you answered. (Or maybe you did, which makes this whole train of thought a moot point).

Mungo Park is named after a great 19th century adventurer, whose name is also, er, uh, Mungo Park. He has become the stereotype of the jungle explorer who tames the wild, and discovers new lands and people. The Mungo Park we are talking about today is a forum to discuss how dinosaurs died, and the reasons they are no longer with us. Dinosaurs have long come to mean outdated and antiquated items. No longer. With the hit films such a Jurassic Park and The Lost World have brought them back from the dead so to speak. The discovery of their fossils along with the films, have brought a renewed interest in the prehistoric animals, and hopefully not as violent.

At this site, there are adventures galore. A visitor can join in a fossil hunt, hunt for buried treasure in the Legacy of Goolarabooboo, and create a file for your own dinosaur hunt. The site is also alive with real audio and video goodies, so a good time is guaranteed for all. Have a nice cybertrip back in time, and write when you get there.
