Fake or Foto

CGI used to mean Common Gateway Interface. That's geek talk for executable scripts that run on a web server. That acronym still applies, but CGI has come to mean Computer Generated Graphics.

CGI has gotten amazingly sophisticated. I recently watched I Am Legend, and the CGI monsters and monster dogs were amazing to see. So was the bombing of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Today's familyFirst pick is a test of how acute your ability to discern the subtle differences between genuine images and CGI.

I have to tell you, it's a tough test! There are ten images, and you have to select between genuine and CGI.

I took the test earlier today, and scored a measly two out of ten!
