What could be more fun for a kid than to make a microscope?

Okay, maybe I'm speaking about ME as a kid. But the fact is that kids, even those who aren't nuts about science, still can have lots of fun with scientific experiments.

That's where today's FamilyFirst site comes in. It's called Fun Science Gallery, and it's apropos whether you speak English, Francais, or Italiano. Here's their mission:

Here you will find instructions showing you how to build scientific equipments from relatively cheap materials. Projects include instructions for making telescopes, microscopes, batteries, sidereal indicators, and several other instruments. Moreover, you will find programs on the lexical analysis of texts and the determination of the readability of texts, etc. The Fun Science Gallery proposes laboratory activities such as performing scientific experiments or building instruments. Practical experiments are advantageous in that they call upon many of our faculties, not just those connected to language. They also have the important advantage of motivating children to engage in science.

Learn how to make that microscope I mentioned earlier. Take your homemade microscope and check out dust from a dustrag. You may be amazed at what you see!
