George Takei

"Warp nine, Mr. Sulu".

Those words, and many more like them bring back memories of a television show from the 1960's that has achieved cult status, and then some. "Star Trek" is one of the best known and most watched television shows of all time. The cast and characters are some of the best-known stars of their medium. Today's FamSite is about one of the most fascinating.

George Takei is the personal website of the man who created Mr. Sulu, the helmsman of the starship Enterprise. But there is more to his life, much more. Here you can learn about his career in Hollywood, appearances in movies and just about every prime time television show, ranging from "The Simpsons" to "Hawaii 5-0" to "The Twilight Zone". But there is more to him than just acting, and here you can learn about it. Every month there is a personal letter from George telling what he has been doing. This month he tells about Sea Launch, a platform to launch new satellites into orbit. There is also a shop where you can get autographed pictures and books, a photo gallery and a great collection of links to fellow Star Trek colleagues.

Stop by and have a visit with George at this very personable site. It is very well done, and truly a pleasure to spend some time here. Enjoy your stop today.
