Gmail Changes on the Way

I Loooooooove my Gmail accounts.

I've been hosting websites since 1998. Around 2001, spam was so out of control that my server was using at least half its active processes running spam filtering.

I had taken to using an email address for a year or so, then abandoning it.

Then, in late 2004, all of that changed. That was the year i received an invite to Gmail.

I have three Gmail accounts. I have them all pointing to my main one. That's one of the things you can do at Gmail.

Additionally, I enjoy full POP access privileges. That means I can run Thunderbird to get my email messages.

And the space! In 2004, I received a gigabyte of server space for my email account. Now, it's up to nearly three times that amount!

And the cost? Free, of course.

But wait! There's more!

Gmail is currently in the midst of further upgrades. To what? I'm not sure. But today's FamilyFirst pick, the announcement from Gmail's blog, provides some tantalizing clues.
