Google Chrome

History was made today.

More furniture was probably tossed and more obscenities likely blasted through the air in Steve Ballmer's office.

A rumble took place in the very depth of the computing world, setting off seismographic alarms at expert blogs all over the web.

Google has announced Google Chrome.

Technically, Google Chrome is a web browser. but looking at the big picture, it's a broadside attack at Windows.

Google Chrome (which is now available for download for Windows users) will alow you to run web-based applications from your desktop in a safe, secure area that will protect your operating system from malware.

Each web app is run in its own environment, independent from other tasks running in other Google Chrome tabs.

It's coming for Linux and Mac soon.

This has to be crushing news to the Microsoft monopoly which is crumbling before our eyes. It is possible to run full-powered computer apps which are based on the web in the Google Chrome browser.

For FREE.

Download your own copy of Google Chrome and begin learning what this amazing open-source (two more words Steve Ballmer hates) browser can do for you.
