Home of An American Thanksgiving
November 24, 2004
Our annual Family First Thanksgiving site is one that takes a light and informal look at one of our most traditional holidays. The information here is worth the price of admission. No, you won't find any football scores here, but the true spirit of the day come out.
Called An American Thanksgiving, this site looks at the First Thanksgiving, traditions, fund for kids, recipes, games, menus, and more. There are graces and psalms, and you can read George Washington's 1783 Thanksgiving Proclamation (long thought to be lost), and one that Abraham Lincoln wrote almost four score years later during a terrible time in our country. There is poetry, stories, and enough games to entertain children of all ages.
So stop on by after you finish your second or third piece of pumpkin pie, and see what this site is all about. Be sure to check out Thanksgiving on the Net, you will be amazed at what you will learn.
