Home of the Big Bopper
July 14, 2001
One of the biggest and most memorable songs of the rock era was sung about (of all things) chantilly. It is instantly recognizable, and the singer is equally as well known. But his too was a short career.
The FamSite today looks at a website that remembers the Big Bopper and his wonderful song "Chantilly Lace". While that was his biggest song, at this site you can learn about the other music he made and his previous career as a disc jockey. You can also find out how his son has continued to keep his father's memory alive. You can also find out about the music he is making.
J.P. "Big Bopper" Richardson's career was tragically cut short on the same day as Buddy Holly's and Ritchie Valen's lives were ended. Their legacy lives on to this day in the music we hear. Enjoy your visit here today, and enjoy their music.
