Infoplease

When i was a nine-year-old kid, my dad found a 1966 World Almanac for 50 cents at a used bookstore. That tome kept me intensely occupied for many months afterwards.
The book was an astounding collection of facts. I was beginning to get into baseball at the time, and I was delighted to see every ball park in both leagues as viewed from above with every statistic you could imagine for each stadium. Thus, when I watched games on TV, I knew where the short walls were, how much foul area there was, and how big a drive it would take to clear the center field wall.
Today's FamilyFirst site is a similar collection of fascinating information. It's called Infoplease. Here's their mission:
Information Please has been providing authoritative answers to all kinds of factual questions since 1938--first as a popular radio quiz show, then starting in 1947 as an annual almanac, and since 1998 on the Internet at www.infoplease.com. Many things have changed since 1938, but not our dedication to providing reliable information, in a way that engages and entertains.
It's a trivia fan's paradise. Information by the bushel basket full is available about political leaders, geography, history, weather, countries, crime, religion, and sports.
Unfortunately, there is no information about each individual ballpark, but you can still find that through a Google search.
