Instructables
December 15, 2006
Have you ever wondered how to do something that you simply didn't know the procedure for?
Of course you have. That's when you might have sought clearly written instructions for how to do it. But those instructions may be hard to come by.
Enter today's FamilyFirst site: Instructables. Here's what they're all about, in their own words:
Instructables is a website where passionate people share what they do and how they it, and learn from and collaborate with others. Instructables was started by the partners at Squid Labs because we needed a quick and easy way to document and collaborate on our many projects. It seemed really useful to us, so we shared it with everyone, and now it's growing so fast we assembled a whole team devoted just to Instructables.
Would you like to know how to make a match-stick rocket? You've come to the right place.
How about putting old car door handles on your doors for a cool retro look? This would be the place to learn how.
Want to hack your Swiffer so you don't have to buy their expensive refills? Ditto.
You can search the site by keywords, or use their own prebuilt searches (examples: cheap, mod, free, recipe, etc.).
You can also join for free and post your own instructables. And you can also comment on existing ones. Beware! Your own instructable will be frankly commented on by members as well!
