It's Howdy Doody Time
September 11, 2005

The sophistication of children's shows today is mind-boggling. The topics and subject matter are way beyond what the adults of today dealt with, topics that were best left to our parents. Today's Family First Site looks at a site that celebrates one of the best (and earliest) kids' television shows.
The site is called The Howdy Doody Show, and is about wooden puppet named Howdy. There are his friends Buffalo Bob, Princess Summerfall Winterspring, Dilly Dally, and the list goes on. Here you can learn about all aspects of the show, such as the characters, the cast members, a brief history of the show, pictures of the Peanut Gallery, and how you can help Howdy run for President. There is an online store for souvenirs, and a chance to join the new Peanut Gallery fan club.
All told, this site is a great look back into a simpler time, when kids could be kids, and the world really was a kinder, gentler place. With all that is going wrong with the world today, this is the place to go for some quality entertainment.
