Today's FamilyFirst site is called KaBOOM! Their vision is a great place to play within walking distance of every child in America.

With summer right around the corner, kids are getting ready to go outside and play. That's why you need the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder. KaBOOM!, a national nonprofit helping communities build playgrounds, recognized the need for an online tool to search out playspaces in local communities. The Playspace Finder is a detailed directory of playgrounds, skateparks, sports fields and ice rinks across the country.

Also, from May 2nd to May 16th they will be partnering with Stride-Rite to promote great places to play through the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder Sweepstakes. This promotion offers participants a chance to win Stride Rite SuperBall shoes or a KaBOOM! Play Kit by using the Playspace Finder. To enter the sweepstakes, participants add a new or grade an existing playspace, with increased chances to win for every new entry into the directory.

The playspace finder will let you look up playgrounds in your area and see how they are rated. If your favorite is not listed, add it and rate it yourself.

You can also get involved with upgrading playgrounds in your area that might need help, or perhaps building a new one. They have an extensive kit for planning a site, soliciting funds, and getting a playground built.
