KnujOn

Ah, the carefree days on the internet circa 1995 . . .

I had an aol.com account. I can't even remember what my user name was. But I was stinkin' proud of the fact that I had a genuine email address!

When the familiar “You've got mail!” voice would play, I would excitedly open the newest electronic message.

But one day, I opened a message that was an unsolicited invitation to buy something. I was outraged. I replied, firing back a scolding for daring to try to sell something to a perfect stranger via electronic means. How could they do such a thing?

How naïve I was.

Nowadays, spam constitutes 80% of all email traffic. It seems hopeless.

But it['s not. Thanks to organizations like KnujOn, spammers have a legitimate nemesis.

KnujOn has shut down over 32,000 websites that use spam for advertising. Another 16,000 and change are pending.

Sweet! You can help, too. They want you to forward any spam you get to them so they can perform forensics on it and track down the scum that are sending it, and killing off their sites, one by one.

Enjoy today's FamilyFirst site. They are working hard to regain the pristine nature of the web circa 1995.
