Learn Spanish

When I was in the 7th grade, I took elementary Spanish.

Years went by without my being able to practice what I had learned. Yet I continued to run through in my mind the verb usage depending on person, tense, and familiarity with the person you're speaking with.

Then, the Hispanic influx began in my area. Suddenly, I had REAL Spanish speakers to converse with!

While I in no way claim to be bilingual, I do know enough Spanish to at least get a few thoughts across to those who are correspondingly having as much trouble with English.

So with that, I present today's FamilyFirst site: Learn Spanish. Here's their mission:

Learn Spanish is a free, on-line, educational resource to learn Spanish words. The flash site incorporates 40 topics, along with over 1,400 Spanish words and phrases. When you click on a word or phrases.

The site is Flash at its most elegant. It loads very fast, and gives you various categories to learn Spanish words, such as business meeting (ano fiscal = fiscal year), computers (copia de securidad = backup), and restaurants (chef = chef. But with a hard ch!).

Click on the word and hear it pronounced.

Spend a few minutes a day at this site, and you're on the way to learning a second language!
