Learning Vocabulary Can Be Fun

When I was growing up, one of the ways I learned to read was by playing games. This was before video games, it was way before computers, and the highest tech item I had was a coloring crayon. While crayons are still around, today's technology has made it easier to teach young ones to read and understand languages. Today's Family First Site visits just such as site, one that reminds of the puzzles that I worked on with my crayons.

The name of the site is Learning Vocabulary Can Be Fun. Here are several puzzles that emphasize words, and how to remember them. The games are quite simple to play, but that is what makes them so successful. By being easy to play, it allows users to concentrate on the subject matter, such as how words are spelled, what pictures are associated with which words, etc. The games that are featured are WordSearch, Crosswords, Hangman, and Match Game. There is also a quiz area that can test how well the games have worked.

This site is the companion site to one we featured a few months ago called SAT Preparations. You will find the same quality in educational material on this site that was a hallmark of the companion site. Time spent at both of these sites can be very educational and informative.
