Like Television

How would you like to watch online streaming TV for free?

You can do so at today's FamilyFirst site. As a matter of fact, I'm enjoying a W.C. Fields classic as I write this column.

The site is called Like Television.

You can watch their videos for free, but you'll need to watch an occasional commercial. That's okay, the one that popped up during my video was a hilarious one for an Australian beer that doesn't air in the States.

They would like you to pony up a few bucks to join, and you may well decide to. It costs $14.95 a month or $125 for an entire year. That lets you avoid the commercials and also have access to a high-quality library of downloads that will allow you to create your own DVD's.

Additionally, you can buy individual downloads.

But you can enjoy a ton of free entertainment, too. The feed is in Real format, and gets you a decent-sized video.

I hate to keep slighting the dialup users, but obviously, you need some bandwidth to download the higher-quality stuff.

Premium membership also gives you access to high-res images of movie and TV scenes. You could, say, make your own t-shirt.

Anyhow, check out the site. Its interface is a bit clunky, but it makes up for it in a ton of free content
