Lonely Pictures

Our country (that is, if you happen to be an American) has grown in population by leaps and bounds. But still, many areas have escaped the insanity of rapid growth.

In fact, some areas are depressed in economy and outlook.

But through all adversity, there is always something positive to be found.

Today's FamilyFirst pick, Lonely Pictures, explores such places.

Some of them are abandoned, having given up the ghost. Some still hang on, against all odds.

We're talking about places like the dry goods store, the drive-in movie, the department store.

The pictures are taken all over the state of Texas.

The blogger is an expert photog who knows how to take advantage of light, shadow, and mood to create masterworks.

Lots of graphics, it'll take a while to load, but well worth it.
