Lyndsey's Mania
February 07, 2008
It's a sad fact: American kids are horrible at geography.
So are American adults, for that matter.
Perhaps one reason is that geography isn't fun. It's work.
Well, it shouldn't be. I learned geography through collecting stamps. It was fun marking off countries from my big old Scott album's map as i added them to my collection.
Today's familyFirst pick is aimed at making geography fun in a similar vein. It's called Lyndsey's Mania.
There are a host of geographic quizzes here, including the states of the USA, the provinces of Canada, countries of the world, and individual divisions within countries.
They range from easy to aaaargh! For example, if you can correctly name the states of Pakistan, my hat's off to you!
So have some fun, and learn something in the process.
