Metronome Online

Ah, the wonders of the internet.

As each day goes by, more and more mundane items are added online, removing the need to keep many physical objects around.

Take, for example, the metronome.

A metronome, in case you didn't know,

is a practice tool that produces a steady pulse (or beat) to help musicians play rhythms accurately. The pulses are measured in beats-per-minute (BPM). Most metronomes are capable of playing beats from 35 to 250 BPM. Common uses of the metronome are helping you to maintain an established tempo while practicing, and learning difficult passages.

Thanks for the explanation, metronomeonline.com.

Now, what can you do with the online metronome?

You can set whatever beat you like, from the largo to the presto range. And though I'm no musician, I am familiar with the ranges, thanks to my addiction to New York Times crossword puzzles.

So crank up the sound on your computer, set the metronome where you want it, and start practicing!
