Miss Abigail's Time Warp

It is said that the good old days were the good old days. If I heard it once, I heard it a thousand times, "When I was your age...". Somehow, if one could turn back the hands of time, and see what it was really like in the past, then maybe it would make the future a little more bearable. Heck, it would make today more bearable.

Today's Family First Site is kind of like a journey into the past. It is called Miss Abigail's Time Warp Advice, and is a site that not only gives (what else) advice, but does so over a wide time span. This is a fascinating collection of books, spanning from 1832 to 1977 which covers time honored topics such as dating, love, living together, puberty, marriage, sex, etiquette, housekeeping, and even home repairs. It is interesting seeing how someone in 1969 is supposed to shake hands, and what folk in 1923 thought about erring husbands.

The contents here are a nostalgic trip in how we used to live in this country. It is fascinating to see what used to be accepted proper behavior. Be sure to mind your P's & Q's while your are here.
