MoneyInstructor.com

Everyone learns how to manage their money. Some learn early and painlessly, others (myself included) learn later. That involves pain.

Today's FamilyFirst site is designed to give your kids the early version of this essential education.

It's called MoneyInstructor.com. Here is their mission:

Teach and learn money skills, personal finance, money management, business, careers, real life skills, and more... Money lessons, lesson plans, worksheets, interactive lessons, and informative articles, counting money, coins and bills, banking, checking, budgeting, earning money, spending, saving, paying taxes, consumer math, investing, economics, business education, jobs, careers, and other everyday real life skills are taught to youngsters. Many young people graduate without a basic understanding of money and money management, business, the economy, and investing. We hope to help teachers, parents, individuals, and institutions teach these skills, while reinforcing basic math, reading, vocabulary, and other important skills.

This site is designed for teachers, whether professionals or those homeschooling their children.

Complete lessons are offered, including staring a part-time business, an introduction to law, dealing with the fear of public speaking, basic accounting, leadership, and many other subjects that will provide your youngster or students with great economic and business knowledge.

There are also more basic courses for younger ones, including counting money, teaching children budgeting with coins, and lots of fun coloring pages that are financially-themed.

Kids may not naturally be drawn to economics, but if you can develop an interest, they can get a serious head start on living their lives without having to worry about how they are going to pay their bills.

That's a priceless gift.
