MozillaZine Forums

I love Firefox. Regular visitors may be painfully aware of that ;-). But I've had a nagging problem with it since upgrading to version 1.5.

I thought they had turned Flash off on my beloved St. Louis Cardinals' MBL.com site. But I finally figured out that Flash had stopped working EVERYWHERE. So I Googled the issue, and came up with today's FamilyFirst pick. It showed me quickly that the problem was with the AdBlock extension. It didn't work right with 1.5. So uninstalling it, and replacing it with AdBlock Plus, solved the problem!

I was impressed. So MozillaZine Forums is today's FamilyFirst site.

The site is LOADED with tricks, tweaks, hacks, and fixes for various issues you may be having with any Mozilla products.

The forum is well-organized and well-moderated. There have been lots of memory usage questions posted about Firefox's using excessive memory under certain circumstances. The hard-working moderator gathered them all together in one spot, and condensed the most frequently helpful solutions in a single area. Man, I was impressed with what you could accomplish using the about:config feature.

If you use Thunderbird and have a Gmail account, there is a detailed setup procedure for taking advantage of the free POP service that Google is offering so that you can download your email to your desktop.

Also, if you prefer the SeaMonkey suite, there's a section for you, too. Developers, there's great discussions here for you, whether you're making extensions, developing source code, or what have you.

Bookmark this one, friends. You'll be using it a lot.
