Mugglenet
December 07, 2004
The tension is in the air. The anticipation is building. Next year is possibly going to be a red-letter one for the fans of the most famous fictional under-age wizard who ever picked up a wand. For not only are fans looking forward to a new Harry Potter book, but also the release of the fourth film of the series. Who knows whether that will happen (except for J.K. Rowling), but there are rumors flying fast and furious around the Internet. Today's Family First site is one that seems to have all the bases covered, and is worth stopping by.
The site is called Mugglenet, and in case you have guessed by now, it is a fan site for Harry Potter and his magical world. A muggle, for those who may not know, is a non-wizard person, such as Harry's aunt and uncle. At this site you can get the latest information on the upcoming 6th book, "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince", which is supposed to be on bookshelves this coming summer. There is a wealth of knowledge about the previous five books that help tie all the loose ends together. There are sections on Quidditch, the Ministry of Magic, and Hogwarts, as well as the various characters that are in the books.
There is also a daily news site, with information about the current filming of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". A lot of rumors from the sets, interviews and snippets of information from the cast, such as a link to the website for Jamie Waylett, who plays Vincent Crabbe. He describes learning to waltz for the Yule Ball scenes. The variety of information here, and the variety of things that can be done is truly amazing. Visitors can even tailor the site to reflect the main characters of Ron, Harry, Hermione, Draco, or even a dementor. Truly a fun site, in the spirit of Harry Potter. It is really exciting here now, with the possibility of a new book AND a new movie in the same year.
