Musicovery

Today's FamilyFirst site put a big smile on my face.
Many clueless web designers out there insist on using Microsoft technologies in their sites. And Microsoft, of course, is reluctant to have their technologies work in any environment other than their own, which they charge you dearly for. And Java is another finicky platform that claims to work on any O/S but frequently refuses to do so.
So when i find a mega-cool multimedia site that pops right up and loads instantly in the Linux/Firefox world I live in, I get happy.
Today's FamilyFirst pick is called Musicovery. And you'd better enjoy it while you can, because it offers free streaming music by established artists. I suspect they are probably in the RIAA's crosshairs, since you're not paying a dollar a song.
The interface looks like an mp3 player. You can select your tunes based on mood, genre, era, or all three.
You may want to load it up in a tab and surf the web in another while high-quality tunes play in the background.
Enjoy!
