Today, FamilyFirst concentrates on whooshing down a mountainside on a pair or fiberglass rails. That's right, it's winter, and skiing rules!
Our pick today is called OnTheSnow.com. It has everything that the skier needs to plan his trip, travel to his destination, and get lodging once he arrives. Of course, all previous references to him could be substituted with her!
Get the goods on the daily snow dumps. At press time, storm activity – and new snow – across the upper half of the nation with Hunter Mountain, and Whiteface, setting the pace in New York. They’re skiing in New England, Colorado, Utah, Idaho, and The Tetons. Things looking much better for the PacNorthwest and even balmy California has some rainfall and two mountains spinning a token lift.
You can also make your travel arrangements here. Go anywhere in the USA, or maybe hit Europe or even New Zealand. Wow! Do they have snow down there this time of year?
For the very latest on conditions, check out the News and Reviews. Local writers give updates on what's going on in their areas. Coverage is a bit spotty, as you might imagine. While there's a wealth of info on Utah and Colorado, there's nothing on Iowa. IOWA? They ski there??
You can also win prizes! At press time, you could score three nights at The Village at Squaw Valley in a luxurious two bedroom condominium suite which can sleep up to 6 people. Register once, be eligible for all prizes.
How's your gear? You can use OnTheSnow's gear search to find the best price webwide for whatever you're looking for.
There's a newsletter you can sign up for too, if you're so inclined.
So have fun at today's FamilyFirst site, and remember, pray for snow!
