Paul Revere and the Raiders

One of the great rock-n-roll groups from the 1960's is still making music today. The line-up has changed, but the name (and the main man) remains the same. The group is Paul Revere and the Raiders, and they are the focus of today's Family Site.

Here you can see, read, and hear about what big time rock was like 30 years ago. With major #1 hits, their place in history is assured. Songs like "Kicks", "Gettin' Hungry", and "Cherokee Nation" are still played today. Here you can learn the history of a local group that went from the D-Street Corral in Portland Oregon, to worldwide tours with groups like The Beach Boys. The TV shows "Where the Action Is" and "Happening" are here as well.

Groups come and go in the music industry these days. Staying around and maintaining a level of quality in both music and entertainment is difficult. Paul has done it, is continuing to do it, and will continue to do so until people don't want to listen anymore. I think he'll be playing for awhile.
