PeerFlix

Okay, so you have given into the pressure of the moment, and purchased that lasted DVD release at Costco or Best Buy. You take it home, watch it once or twice, and then what? Put it on the shelf and never watch it again? Maybe bring it out when friends come over? Let's be honest, most of the DVDs that we buy are going to sit on a shelf or in a drawer and never see the light of day. What happens to them. Maybe get one or two dollars at a garage sale? Today's Family First Site shows a way to not only get rid of those seldom watched DVDs, but also get some that you want to see.
PeerFlix is the name of the site. It is a new concept in getting DVDs to watch. Their mission is to allow members to get the most value out of the entertainment they own. Their method of accomplishing this mission is to allows users of legally purchased DVD products to trade those discs for something else. They facilitate their members trading directly with one another to enable a fast trading cycle and reduce costs. Rather than pair people in one-to-one swaps, their technology matches up products and people across the entire network, maximizing the number of possible trades and the speed at which they occur.
Trading on the Peerflix network is easy. Each member builds their own "Have" list of DVDs that they are looking to trade, as well as a "Want" list of DVDs that they would like to receive. Members can quickly upload their DVD collection by entering either UPC codes or product titles. They can browse thousands of DVDs from our database and add them to their "Want" list with just one click. To balance the relative value of the DVD sets, there is a value assigned to them, a trading credit called "Peerbux". That act of trading is how you earn those bux.
It is very easy to try. You have to sign up, list your titles, and start trading. It is that simple. There are free mailers provided when you sign up, and they are automatically sent to you when you are getting low. There is a current offer of one FREE DVD from them one your account is fully activated.
So turn those dusty old keep case and snap case discs into something useful, and pick up some new discs. Then, when you get tired of them, come back to Peerflix and get some more. It can become a never ending cycle.

I have been using Peerfliz since Nov and just before the changeover.
I am sorry to say, the launch is a failure. The site is clumsy, locks up, the fairness of peer to peer trading is all but gone and some of the staff has been intentionally condescending when problems arise. Basically was told "tough luck"
You can not trade on a peer to peer basis that is fair and equitable.
At the first part of the new launch there were issues with, wrong versions being sent, no way to make claim of lost or broken discs, credit card problems and it goes on and on.
Once I settle my account, I will leave...
