Princess America Project
January 28, 1998
One of the advantages of the Internet is the ability to spread the message or information about a project or concept that has special meaning. Today's site shows how it can be used to inform as well as educate.
Called the Princess America Project, it is an about an adventurous education program designed to inspire young students through reports on marine subjects as they sail around the world. From the deck of the small sail boat "Princess America" we report on subjects like: the Marine Mammal Stranding Network, the La Salle Shipwreck Project and efforts to save Kemp's ridley sea turtles in the Gulf of Mexico. One subject I am looking forward to is the restoration of a WWII PT boat. There are very few of them left.
Enjoy your visit here. This is a very interesting site about a very interesting concept in education. The only question I have is where do I sign up?
