Are you ready?
I mean, are you ready for disaster?
When Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, some were ready. Sadly, many more weren't.
My own home was hit by a tornado a year and a half ago. We were ready, but not as ready as we should have been.
Today's FamilyFirst site is Ready.gov. It has lots of videos and advice for preparing you, your family, your pets, and even your business for bad circumstances.
When things go wrong, you can despair about it. Or, you can do something. If you're prepared beforehand, it makes getting yourself out of whatever the fix is much easier.
The section for the kids will be quite appealing to them. They can learn how to build a preparedness kit for the unexpected. Who knows, the next time the power goes out, it may be your youngster who produces a flashlight!
So stop in, check out the site, and get yourself ready for what might be coming next.
