Real Photos, or Fake?

Real Photos, or Fake?

How many times have you received repeatedly forwarded emails with unbelievable photos attached?

Well, the photos are unbelievable because, in many cases, they are manipulated graphical images that are passed off as genuine.

Is this a despicable act? Heck, no! It's the internet! Caveat emptor!

However, if you've passed one of these bogus images along as genuine, it questions your own credibility.

Enter today's FamilyFirst pick: Urban Legends Image Quiz, presented by about.com.

The quiz begins with a harnessed bull moose, ready to move a pile of cut timber.

Here's a hint: it's bogus.

What follows are images that, if you have a sweet aunt like mine, you've probably seen in your inbox. But you will learn that many of them are faked.

Re: the moose, if you drill down a bit, you can uncover images of actual domesticated moose, harnessed up and working. And the next time your dear sweet aunt forwards you an astounding email, you just might want to check out about.com's Urban Legends section.
