So what's the latest dirt in the valley?
In the 70's, the San Gabriel Valley was the assumed location when you talked about “the valley.” L.A. was going though its huge boom then, and everyone was moving to the valley.
But in the 80's, the hottest valley became Silicon. And 25 years later, it's STILL the valley.
The high-tech industry has had its ups and downs, but it's still a GREAT way to make a living. I've been a techie for seven years, and it ROCKS!
The headquarters of the techie world, its Mecca, its hub, and in an argument that holds merit, its birthplace, is Silicon Valley. And today's FamilyFirst site is SiliconValley.com. It has all the goods on the Silicon Valley economic scene.
Whether you're thinking of moving there, or looking at investing in itc companies, you'll want the insight today's site has to offer.
Articles at presstime include the newly empowered Democrats' aims towards the tech industry, the Oakland A's future home in Cisco Field, and Intel once again being trumped by a competitor it used to manhandle: Nvidia's new graphics chip that helps to run the computer. Intel won't have theirs until 2008. By the way, my AMD dual-core I got in May is a screamer! Intel didn't have their dual-core ready yet.
So put on your pocket protector and dig into the economic guts of the tech industry with today's FamilyFirst site!
