Simple Steps to Better Dental Health

Times have changed dramatically since my parents grew up in the Depression.

True,. Much about the simpler times of the 30's was better. But then again, we have progressed since then in many areas.

For example, my father had a full set of dentures by the time he was 40. Nowadays, dentures aren't nearly as common as they once were. And here's hoping they become completely unnecessary in the future.

Today's FamilyFirst site will help you keep your choppers in top-notch shape. In fact, it's the SECOND time I'm reviewing it. I think it's that important. It's called Simple Steps to Better Dental Health, presented by AETNA Insurance. Here's their mission:

Simple Steps To Better Dental Health is a full-service Web site created out of the need for better education about dental health and the emergence of the Internet as a pre-eminent tool for delivering health information. According to the U.S. National Institutes of Health, dental caries (cavities) is the single most common childhood disease. Most adults in the United States show signs of periodontal (gum) disease, yet less than two-thirds have visited a dentist in the past year. Many elderly adults take medications or have diseases that affect their oral health, yet they often lack the care they need. We make it easy for people of all ages to find the information they need in language they can understand.
Learn how teeth decay and form cavities. You'll want to head straight to the bathroom and brush! Speaking of brushing, did you know that bad brushing practices actually do more harm than good to your teeth? Learn how to do it right.

Also, learn how to eat foods that are GOOD for your teeth, and discover what foods are the WORST for your teeth.

The health of your teeth make a huge difference in the quality of your life, both now and in those future "golden" years. Take advantage of today's FamilyFirst site to make your teeth last as long as you do!
