Everyone, at sometime in their life, has had a problem with a bully. You know the type. Like Scott Farkus in "A Christmas Story", the bully is mean to people for the sake of being mean, or getting their lunch money, or proving that they are the toughest kid on the playground. Well, there is a direct link to bullies and the Internet. Spam is clogging so many of our mailboxes that it is hard to conduct routine business or keep up with friends and family until you sort through it all. Today's Family First Site talks about a product that helps protect you from that dreaded Internet problem, in short, by being a bully itself.

The product is called SpamBully. SpamBully is a program that works with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Outlook Express to intelligently block spam from your email inbox. So now you have a bully of your own to counter the bully on the Internet. According to Jupiter Research, the average American will get 2200 spam messages this year, and 3600 by 2007.

Setup is a breeze. It can be done automatically, or it offers the end user choices on how to handle certain types of spam. One feature I like is the ability to return spam to the sender, reporting them to the server they originate from, and to the Federal Trade Comission (fight back!). There are statistics to tell how well it is performing for you, and they can be reviewed weekly, monthly, and yearly. That way you can gauge how effective this program is for you.

Spam is becoming a very real problem, both for businesses and home users. I recently had to change my email address due to the amount of spam I was getting. If I had tried this program, I would most likely still have the old address. There are many, many testimonials on the site that tell about the success of this program. The cost is reasonable, given the results that you will get, and the peace of mind when you open your mail box.
