Storytime Friend

We love reading stories to our kids. And our kids love it when we do so.

But sadly, circumstances don't always allow us to do so. When dad's at work, and mom's cleaning the house, and it's naptime, well, it would be nice to have a substitute story reader.

Today's FamilyFirst site provides just that. It's called StorytimeFriend.com. Here's what their all about, in their own words:

My goal is to capture your kid's attention and hold it while ending in a relaxing way that will help them rest or sleep. The advantage of not having illustrations is that a child's imagination is just as powerful as any illustration on paper. They will create their own images in their mind without having to view a screen or a book. There will be no reason to view the screen after the story begins, allowing for better rest. You might also play the story in the background while you focus on other activities such as craft-time.

It's not free, but it is a very reasonable $4.95 a month (less if you pay annually).

The stories are very professionally recorded. This isn't some guy just speaking into a microphone. A digital recording studio is used to create the stories.

And the reader has a very relaxing voice, perfect for lulling your little ones to sleep.

So check out today's FamilyFirst site, and see if it's right for you.
