The Apple Store
September 05, 2007
Windows Vista has been very good for computer sales. Specifically, sales of Apples and Linux -run computers.
Apple Computers has had their ups and downs over the years. Once the undisputed king, by the early 90's they were struggling. But nowadays they are riding high, and business is better than ever thanks to Microsoft's release of the OS that has been called ME part 2.
Apple has branched out greatly since the early days. Now as well known for iPods, iPhones, and iTV.
And they have quality products. Apple has long been renowned for giving the public what they want. Their reputation for security and reliability has been well earned.
My year-and-a-half-old machine with AMD's dual core processor screams like a new one, but when it shows signs of aging one day (no time soon, as the Ubuntu running is is not prone to slowing down with age as certain other OS's do), I'm thinking seriously about taking the Mac plunge myself.
You can get a nice iMac for less than 1300 bucks. And you have to see one in person to appreciate how beautiful it is. And knowing that the system running it is secure and reliable makes it a strong contender.
My favorite thing about Apples? There's no such thing as Windows Genuine Advantage to accuse you of running a pirated OS.
So if you're pondering the purchase of a new computer with Vista on it, please take a moment and examine the advantages of breaking away from Microsoft, who basically views every customer as a potential thief, and doing business with Apple, a company that is known for giving consumers what they want.
